What is ATS Dispatch Pro?

Do I need to install any in-game mods?

Accepted Answer

No. The activation key file lives inside the game's mod folder but you never enable it in the Mod Manager. The optional telemetry plugin from Step 3 is a small bridge, not a mod that changes gameplay.

What happens if I skip Step 3 (telemetry and real map data)?

Accepted Answer

The app still tracks your job — cargo, route, distance, progress, and a trip summary — but it won't generate any delivery stops at all, since those need real map data. Nothing breaks, and you can run Step 3 (entirely inside the app) any time.

Can I use this with both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2?

Yes. The app checks both games' mod folders for the activation key automatically and works with whichever one is running.

What languages does the app support?

Accepted Answer

English, German, French, and Spanish. Open Settings → Language and pick one — the whole window re-renders instantly. Company, cargo, and city names are never translated (they always match what the game reports). German, French, and Spanish translations are machine-generated.

Can this get me banned or flagged?

Accepted Answer

For normal use, the app only reads live data the game already exposes through its official telemetry plugin — it doesn't modify game files, inject anything into the game process, or touch your save. Accepting a website job is a save edit, done only while the game is closed and with an automatic backup. Use your own judgment and check your platform's current rules if you're ever unsure.

Do I need to keep the installer or key file safe?

Keep a copy of the installer in case you need to reinstall or move to a new computer. You don't need to hang on to the key file the same way — it expires after about 30 days anyway, and you can download a fresh one from dromodding.com → My Downloads any time your website subscription (or linked Patreon membership) is active.

What is the in-game HUD overlay?

A second, lightweight route panel drawn inside the game itself, as part of the game's own frame — so it works even in exclusive fullscreen where a normal window can't reliably appear. It shows your cargo, the active stop, a route progress bar, and the stop list, live.

How do I install the HUD?

It ships with the app and installs with the same Setup step as the telemetry plugin: open Setup and click Install game plugins. Both plugins land side by side in the game's bin\win_x64\plugins folder. To remove it, delete ats-dispatch-hud.dll from that folder — nothing else is affected.

What are the HUD keyboard shortcuts?

F8 shows or hides the overlay, Shift+F8 toggles overlay controls (arrow keys drive the panel), Ctrl+F8 cycles the display mode (Minimal → Compact → Route → Expanded), Alt+F8 opens quick settings, and Esc backs out. All four are rebindable in-game under Quick settings → Hotkeys.

Does the HUD take over my mouse?

No. It's deliberately keyboard-only — the game owns the mouse completely for camera control, so every mouse movement and click goes straight to the game. Any key the HUD doesn't use passes through untouched.

Question 12

The HUD says 'Dispatch app not running' or 'Protocol mismatch'.

Accepted Answer

'Not running' means the desktop app is closed — start it and the HUD reconnects on its own within a few seconds. 'Protocol mismatch' means the plugin and app are from different versions: update the app, then re-run Setup → Install game plugins.

Question 13

The HUD panel vanished and I can't find it.

Accepted Answer

Press F8 (or whatever you rebound the toggle to). If settings got into a strange state, open Alt+F8 → Actions → Reset to defaults. As a last resort, delete Documents\ATS Dispatch Pro\config\overlay.json — the HUD recreates it with defaults.

How do I turn on voice cues?

Settings → Voice Cues in the desktop app: pick a voice pack, Chimes for simple beeps, or Off. It's off by default. There are five cues — nearing a pickup, nearing a drop-off, a pickup completing, a drop-off completing, and the final delivery — plus a volume slider and a Test voice button.

Why did a voice cue not play?

Only one cue speaks at a time and each line plays out in full, so nothing gets cut short. Cues that go stale while waiting (an 'approaching' reminder for a stop you already completed, or leftovers from a finished job) are skipped rather than played late. Confirmations are never dropped just for waiting their turn.

Where does the activation key go?

Place ats-dispatch-key.zip — with that exact filename — directly inside Documents\American Truck Simulator\mod\ or Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod\. Not in a subfolder, not renamed, and not re-compressed.

Question 17

Why did my activation key stop working?

Accepted Answer

Keys are signed and automatically expire after about 30 days as a light anti-piracy measure. Sign in at dromodding.com, open My Downloads, and download a fresh one — nothing to remember or renew manually.

Question 18

The app closes immediately when I launch it.

Accepted Answer

That's the 'activation key file not found' state. Confirm the key is exactly where it needs to be, keeps its original filename, and isn't password-protected or re-zipped. If your Windows Documents folder is on a different drive, the app now shows a 'Locate key file…' dialog instead of quitting — click it and browse to your ats-dispatch-key.zip.

Question 19

I'm a Patreon member and don't see a key on My Downloads.

You need to link your Patreon account to your dromodding.com account once, at dromodding.com/link-patreon. After it's linked, your key appears on the same My Downloads page. Website subscribers see the key immediately without any linking step.

Question 20

How do I connect the app to my dromodding.com account?

Accepted Answer

On the website, sign in and open your Settings page, then click Generate pairing code. In the app, open Setup → Website Account, paste the code, and click Connect. Your website password never touches the app — a one-time code is exchanged for a secure token. Click Disconnect in the same place to unlink.

Question 21

A website job says I'm 'too far' to accept.

Accepted Answer

Expected. A website job can only be accepted while your latest save has you parked at the pickup company. Drive there in-game with your trailer, park, save, quit the game, then click Accept job again. Nothing is written when it refuses, and your save is never at risk.

Question 22

Where are save backups kept?

Accepted Answer

The app automatically backs up your save before every website-job accept into a dispatch-pro-backups folder next to your saves. The game must be closed for the Accept job button to work.

Question 23

A delivered website job still shows as active on my profile — how do I fix it?

Accepted Answer

Occasionally an accepted website job finishes in-game but stays marked active on your online profile (this can happen when you complete it with Skip Parking, which the game doesn't always report the same way as a normal delivery). Open the app while that job is loaded and click Mark delivered — it pushes the job to completed on your profile so your Current Job clears. If your website session has expired, reconnect first via Settings → Website Account.

What does the Setup button color mean?

Red means Step 3 hasn't finished yet. Green means the telemetry plugin is installed and real map locations are active.

Where is my game's install folder?

Accepted Answer

The main folder that contains bin\win_x64 — not that subfolder, and not your whole Steam library. Steam's 'Browse local files' opens the right folder.

Question 26

The map data extraction is taking a long time.

Accepted Answer

The first run pulls data out of your installed game files and can take a few minutes. Watch the log box in the Setup panel for progress and wait for the button to turn green.

Question 27

Does this add money to my in-game account?

Accepted Answer

No. The game's data feed is read-only — there's no way to write money or job changes back into a running game. The trip summary only reports what the game itself paid for the job.

Does this change my save file?

Accepted Answer

For normal use, no. The one opt-in exception is the Website Account 'accept and haul' feature — that writes a job you created online into your save while the game is closed and you are parked at the pickup, and it always backs your save up first.

Can I replace or skip a stop?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Replace swaps a single stop for a different real alternative nearby. Abandon remaining stops clears everything that hasn't completed yet for the current job — your real final destination keeps tracking either way.

My phone won't open the Phone Companion link.

Accepted Answer

The link is a plain http:// address on purpose — a trusted certificate needs a real domain, which a same-WiFi local app doesn't have. Look for 'Advanced → Continue anyway', or temporarily turn off 'Always use secure connections' / 'HTTPS-Only Mode' in your phone browser for this one address.

iPhone won't open the Phone Companion link.

Usually iCloud Private Relay or the per-network 'Limit IP Address Tracking' setting. Go to Settings → Wi-Fi, tap the (i) next to your network, and turn off 'Limit IP Address Tracking' — and/or Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Private Relay and turn that off too. Typing the address directly into Safari (rather than tapping the Camera QR banner) can also help.

Can other people on my WiFi see my Phone Companion link?

Yes, if they have the link. There's no login on it, by design, to keep it simple for a view-only same-network feature. It can't change anything, but keep it in mind on shared or public networks.

No delivery stops appear on my job.

Accepted Answer

The Setup button is red — Step 3 hasn't finished, and stops need real map data. Click Setup, confirm your game's install folder, then run Install game plugins and Enable Real Map Locations again. The first extraction takes a few minutes; wait for the button to turn green. On a very short route only a stop or two may appear even when set up correctly — the drop count is a maximum, not a guarantee.

The in-game HUD never appears.

Accepted Answer

Re-run Setup → Install game plugins with the game closed, then start the game again. If it still doesn't show, check Documents\American Truck Simulator\game.log.txt for lines mentioning ats-dispatch-hud — 'unable to find any required function' means an outdated copy of the plugin, and reinstalling from Setup fixes it.

The app window disappeared.

Accepted Answer

Press the window-toggle shortcut — Alt+Shift+D unless you've changed it in Settings — to bring it back. If nothing happens, another program may be using the same combo; set a different one from the Settings panel.

How do I uninstall?

Accepted Answer

Windows 11: Settings → Apps → Installed apps. Windows 10: Control Panel → Programs and Features. Find 'ATS Dispatch Pro' and uninstall like any other program.
